The building, right in the middle of the moral capital is called Wincity. Outside, the loan sharks and the usurers are queuing up.

I am Frediano Manzi, former president of "Sos racket e usura”, that was killed off by those who govern the city of Milan because they were afraid of tackling the important and true topics that we have raised about this city, namely about the massive presence in Milan and its hinterland of organised crime. This is our office, as you can see, the operational heart of our association. For a year we asked in vain for an office so as to avoid every denunciation having the address of my own home on it, that is opening us up to very important risks. For two weeks the schools of my children have been protected by the security forces because there have been direct threats to my family, thus the insensitivity of ths city has been demnstrated by the actions that we have taken, in the last few years, more than 500 denunciations with dozens of criminal proceedings initiated. Perhaps one of the most important has been to have demonstrated that in Milan there are organised cirminals that deal with the management of the racket of homes, they replace the State and they allocate homes in public housing projects if they are paid money. There have been arrests. Others will follow. These have attaracted attention to this reality. It has annoyed this administration that is giving Milan another reality, a Milan that should have been hidden, that was the Milan of the preiphery. We have neighbourhoods where our association cannot enter or where it enters exclusively if accompanied by the security forces because we are constantly threatened and insulted, where we first raised this issue and where we asked something very important of ourselves: how is it that the politicians that have made the issue of housing their battle-cry, and here I am turning to the left wing, a home is the right of everyone, they said, yet they have they never supported us, why have they never supported us? We asked for the distribution of a questionnaire to the 80 thousand people who have public housing in Milan. A questionnaire where these phenomenon were discussed. They didn’t give us a hand, perhaps because a cruel picture of this city would have emerged, a picture that we have displayed with dozens and dozens of denunciations to the Milan Prosecution Office.
